I really like and appreciate what Batiste was trying to do here, which is create a dry shampoo that matches your hair color to eliminate the possibility of that Marie Antoinette powdery look. In the previous post and throughout this one, the focus on dry shampoo has primarily been on oil contol and longevity. However, a very popular way of using dry shampoos is to add volume, extend your style, and give your hair a very slight hold, which is essential for teasing. Because I don't style my hair to the extent where I need to tease or shape my hair styles, I'm indifferent to style helpers.” Above is a few that have been hanging out in my collection in the rare occasion that I need a volume boost. The real take away from this is that dry shampoo has multiple purposes.
Psst! This is the only Lush no drought dry shampoo review you will ever need. It's inexpensive, and doesn't build up or leave chalky residue. I use it every other day in between my usual shampoo like you are planning, and also use it even on days when I do shampoo if I want to add a bit more texture or grip to updos. It's a godsend for camping trips, too. I have long (colored) dark auburn hair and it doesn't fade my color or leave any color behind.
did you try holding the bottle upright and squeezing it to get a poof” or product on your hair? I know that's how Blow Faux Dry dry shampoo works. However, that product has a specific nozzle that facilitates the poofing” of the product… but maybe it would help with No Drought? Just an idea.
One of Klorane's bestsellers, the Klorane Dry Shampoo is a pure botanical quick-fix for dull and oily hair. There are two varieties, one with oat milk, for all hair types, and another with nettle, for oily hair. Klorane even offers a non-aerosol version of its oat milk dry shampoo. Price: $19.50.
If you don't decide to wash your hair, since it is already drenched, I would think not. In fact, I would suggest a shampoo and condition at this time. Rainwater is excellent for the hair, and after getting caught in the rain, the product certainly washed away.
Styling your hair can harm your locks and so can shampooing too much. Dry and brittle hair or hair having split ends should use protective products and hairstyles. You get that clean, fresh hair smell after applying it as well, so you're not missing anything.
This product is better than all other dry shampoos because it doesn't give me that thick, hard to style texture that spray dry shampoos give me, but it is definitely soaking up the hair oil and making my hair look less dirty! It's very lightweight. Some of the cons I read on the website were about how it's a powder, so application is harder. I am used to using baby powder, so that wasn't a big deal to me. Plus, it's a small price to pay in exchange for ALL of the other benefits.
DC Review: Redken's Pillow Proof line is one of our favorites. It smells fresh without being overwhelming and does a great job of absorbing oil without leaving your hair white or crusty. It adds a decent amount of volume to greasy hair and creates better hold when curling your hair. Overall, we're impressed and would splurge on it.
